Hydrogen Car Conversion - A Cheaper
Alternative
By Peter Johnson

If you’ve been looking into
alternative fuel sources lately, you might have
heard of hydrogen car conversion. The
stranglehold that various dictators have on oil
and our damaged environment has everyone
worried about what sort of planet we will be
leaving behind for our children to inherit.
Fortunately, there is something we can all do
immediately to help lessen the impact we are
all having on the environment and the economy
every day.

Most probably think about hydrogen cell
technology when they hear talk of running cars on hydrogen, but
that’s not what hydrogen car conversion is all about. There is
a vast gulf of difference between the two; hydrogen cell
technology actually replaces the internal combustion engine
completely with a new technology that doesn’t rely on gasoline
at all. Conversion uses a small device is added to your
pre-existing internal combustion engine to turn your vehicle
into a water hybrid. Hydrogen cell technology is still far from
being practical and available for public use, but hydrogen
conversion kits are available to everybody today.
So how does hydrogen car conversion work?
Without getting into too much chemistry, you essentially have a
small device that attaches to your car’s battery and intake
manifold. This device uses a little bit of electricity from
your battery to transform the water within it to HHO, which is
a compound more commonly known as Brown’s Gas. Brown’s Gas,
also known as Water-Fuel or Hydroxy, is a clean-burning energy
source that has only one byproduct (water) and provides a whole
lot of energy. There have even been reports of doubling gas
mileage by those who have made the conversion.
Where can you get a conversion kit so you can
get started? Unfortunately, conversion kits aren’t sold in
stores, so you have to assemble it yourself if you want one.
Don’t give up in frustration yet, though—conversion kits are
fairly easy to put together and there are a lot of websites
that can tell you what parts you need and how to assemble it.
The parts you need can be found at your local hardware store
and will generally cost you about $20. These parts include a
quart-sized glass jar, a vacuum hose, a fuse, some electrical
wiring, baking soda, and a few other parts. Once the device is
assembled, fill it with water. Hook the device up to your
battery and your engine’s intake manifold and your good to
go. If you don’t feel like you’re handy enough to pull
this off, you can always get a mechanic to install it for you.
Though these mechanics are hard to find, there are some out
there that know about hydrogen car conversion and can do it for
you for about $300.
Conclusion
We’re all concerned about the cost of gas and
want to save money. If you are part of this growing group,
consider converting your car into a water hybrid with a
hydrogen conversion kit. Hydrogen car conversion is the way to
fuel our future and promote environmental conservation.
