Hydrogen Car Kit - How Does It Work?
By Peter Johnson

In our search for alternative
fuels, most of us have heard of hydrogen cell
technology and some of us have heard of the
hydrogen car kit. Even if you
have heard of this kit, you may still not know
exactly what it is and how it works. The good
news is that we’re going to try to answer your
questions right now.

You first have to recognize that although they
are similar in some ways, hydrogen cell technology and the
hydrogen car kit really use two very different methods. While
hydrogen cell technology uses pure hydrogen as a substitute for
gasoline, hydrogen car kits use a gasoline/water mixture to
transform your vehicle into a water hybrid. While hydrogen cell
technology is still quite a ways off from being practical and
ready for use, conversion kits are available for to the general
public right now.
So exactly how is your car supposed to run on
water? Without getting into the hardcore chemistry of it, all
you need to do is look around online and download the
instructions on how to assemble the conversion device, attach
it to your vehicle, and go. There are plenty of sites that can
tell you how to assemble your conversion device and install it,
just look around.
Once you have your instructions, you can buy
the parts you need, usually at your local hardware store.
Everything you need will probably cost you about $20. These
parts basically consist of a quart-sized glass jar, some baking
soda, electrical wiring, a vacuum hose, a fuse, and a few other
parts. Follow the directions, build the device and fill it with
water. Next, hook the device up to your battery and your
engine’s intake manifold. When you start up your car, the
electrodes within the device will use a little bit of energy
from your battery to turn the water within it to HHO; one part
oxygen and two parts hydrogen. HHO, which is commonly known as
Brown’s Gas, but also sometimes known as Water-Fuel or Hydroxy,
is a gas that burns clean, emits no byproducts (except water),
and provides a tremendous amount of energy. By installing a
hydrogen car kit in your vehicle, you may even double your
car’s gas mileage.
In today’s flagging economy, everybody is
looking for a way to save money and trying to find a way to
spend less money at the pump. Just about everybody is driving
less when possible and some have gone so far as to get rid of
their car altogether. There’s no reason to make such radical
changes in your lifestyle when you can easily turn your vehicle
into a water hybrid and start saving money right away. If
you’re just a little handy, you may be able to assemble and
install a conversion kit yourself. If not, you may be able to
find a mechanic to install the kit for you—look to pay about
$300 for the service. A hydrogen car kit installed in your
vehicle can save you a lot of cash on fuel and help the
conservation movement all at once.
